I.                   Class description: Limited Street is a heads-up class for all types of vehicles from 60's muscle cars to late model automobiles. 

II.                Designation:  LS followed by permanent number. 

III.             Format:  1/8th mile heads-up class run on a .400 pro tree with a pro ladder.  Courtesy staging and Autostart are in effect.  Timeout is 7 seconds. 

IV.             Race Procedures

a.      Staging lanes:  Cooling will be allowed in the staging lanes for the semi-final and final rounds. Cooling must be self-contained on a cart.  No expulsion of ANY liquid is allowed in the lanes.  Please be courteous to your lane neighbors.  When not in the lanes your equipment must be secured away from lanes in the designated area.  It is YOUR responsibility to know the location of the designated area.

b.      Burn Out:  Over the line burnouts are allowed (and encouraged). 

c.       Scales:  After qualifying all participants must pass over scales to have their run validated.  In Eliminations you must pass over scales if you have won.  If a car fails to make weight they are disqualified and their opponent is given the round unless the opponent also fails to make legal weight.  Competitors are responsible for verifying their weight before each run. 

V.                Engine:  Any Combination allowed.  Motor plates and solid mounts allowed. 

VI.             Weights:  At initial tech inspection, inspector will review your combination and calculate your minimum weight.  The Tech Inspector will place the minimum weight on your tech card.  This weight will be placed on your right side passenger window and sealed.  It is the driver/owner’s responsibility to verify the correct combination is on the window for the scale operator, and must sign the tech card to verify the combination and calculated weight minimum.


a.      4 and 6 cylinder and Rotary combinations – no minimum.

b.      Small Block Naturally Aspirated 2350 lbs.

c.       Big Block Naturally Aspirated 2600 lbs.

d.      Small Block Nitrous Assisted 2500 lbs.

e.       Big Block Nitrous Assisted – conventional head 3000 lbs.

f.       Big Block Nitrous Assisted – non-conventional head 3200 lbs.

g.      Small Block Turbocharged 3100 lbs.

h.      Small Block Twin Superchargers/Turbos 3150 lbs.

i.        Small Block Supercharged 3100 lbs.

j.        Big Block Supercharged 3300 lbs.

k.      Big Block Single Turbo 3300 lbs.

l.        Big Block Twin Superchargers/Turbos 3350 lbs. 

VII.          Fuel:  Any fuel except nitromethane, polypropylene, and/or hydrazine. 

VIII.       Drivetrain:  Any transmission type.  No direct drives. 

IX.             Body:  This class is intended for street-appearing vehicles.

a.      The car must retain its original appearance and profiles.

b.      Roof and rear quarters must be steel.

                                                  i.      Unless originally fiberglass (Corvette)

c.       Aftermarket fiberglass wings and spoilers are permitted.

d.      Lexan windows permitted.

e.       Factory appearing dashboard required.

f.       Firewall must be retained and in stock location.

g.      Car lettering and Decals are allowed on all windows.  Must run Series Decal.  Decals are allowed on car but must retain a street image.  The intent is this rule is the cars should look street legal, not like a heavy contingency race car.

h.      All nitrous bottles to be safety vented with pop off to outside of the vehicle. 

X.                Exhaust:  Mufflers are required except on turbocharged combinations.  Exhaust may exit underneath car or out the front fenders. 

XI.             Chassis:  Vehicle must have current NHRA chassis certification appropriate for ET, speed and weight.

a.      Front Chassis/Suspension:  Stock front frame rails and suspension required.

                                                  i.      Aftermarket control arms and bushings allowed and must bolt in stock locations.

                                                ii.      Rack and pinion steering allowed.

                                              iii.      Direct bolt on aftermarket tubular control arms, coil over kits, or OEM front strut retrofits are permitted.  No welding modifications permitted.

                                              iv.      Aftermarket bolt in sub-frame allowed.  Must bolt in unaltered stock OEM mounting locations.

b.      Rear Chassis/Suspension:  Any type rear suspension permitted.

                                                  i.      Leaf spring rear suspension may subtract 100 pounds.

                                                ii.      Tube chassis cars are allowed and must be naturally aspirated.

                                              iii.      Chassis cars must carry at least 50% of their weight on the front tires.

                                              iv.      Chassis cars must be within one inch of the original factory wheelbase.

c.       Rear Tires:

                                                  i.      Turbocharged and Supercharged cars must run on a 29.5”x10.5” non W slick, 315 DOT Radial or smaller tire.

                                                ii.      Naturally aspirated and nitrous assisted cars are allowed up to 34.5” x 17” tires (“Big Tires” / Pro-Street)

                                              iii.      Big Tire (Pro-Street) cars are limited to one nitrous kit with non-conventional heads and two nitrous kits with conventional heads.

d.      Wheelie Bars:

                                                  i.      ALLOWED ON BIG TIRE (Pro Street)  AND OR NATURALLY Aspirated CARS ONLY 

XII.          Electronics:

a.      Electric/Air shifter allowed.
