INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—The final event of the 2019 Lucas Oil Raceway schedule will be a Halloween Bracket Race and King of the Track tournament on October 26. The day will consist of a normal bracket race with the class winners also competing for a Wally and Halloween themed contests.
There will be three Halloween themed prizes for individuals of all ages. Children 12-and-under can enter a costume contest for a $100 prize. There will also be a costume contest for anyone older than 12 with the winner receiving a $500 prize. All individuals entering the costume contests will be called to the start line immediately after time trials.
The final contest will see decorated pit areas. The pit with the best decoration will win a $500 prize. Entrants are encouraged to bring candy to pass out to pit spectators. Pits will be judged immediately after the conclusion of the costume contest.
A three-judge panel will decide the winners of each contest. Those judges will be announced at a later date.
The October 6 Junior Wally Race that was rained out will now be held at the Halloween event. Junior dragsters can redeem their tech cards on October 26 while any other juniors interested can purchase a $40 tech card the day of the race. Payout structure for the juniors will be a Wally and $300 to the winner, $100 to the runner-up, $50 for racers that reach the semifinals, and $25 for the quarterfinalist.
Payouts for the other class will have the same structure as a standard Brown’s Oil Service ET Bracket Series Presented by Comfort Suites race. Junior street will also be a part of the Halloween event.
