The 16th Annual SDPC Race Shop NMCA World Street Finals, featuring the Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series and its 11th annual LSX Shootout, brings out some of the best race teams in the country for a giant field of heads up and index drag racing. All of this action on the drag strip is combined with a weekend that includes TV stars from Discovery Channel’s Street Outlaws, all-domestic car shows on Saturday and Sunday along with a huge manufacturers’ midway and more.
Starting with qualifying on Friday, watch the stars of NMCA in classes like VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod, Mickey Thompson Radial Wars, ARP Nitrous Pro Street, Edelbrock Xtreme Street, Street Outlaw and more. The Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series brings out the LS-powered monsters of Wiseco BoostLine Connecting Rods Drag Radial, Chevrolet Performance Stock presented by Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center, Holley EFI Real Street along with three additional all-GM classes. After the eliminations are concluded on Sunday, September 24 and NMCA Champions will be decided in all championship categories with all winners taking a trip to the Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle.
If you’re an LS/LT fan, then the Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series is what you’ve been waiting for. Developed from the excitement of the LSX Shootout, the Chevrolet Performance Challenge series is sanctioned by the NMCA and going on its fourth year. The 2017 NMCA World Street Finals is hosting the third stop on the Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series tour. Expect the best in LS/LT performance as well as all-domestic heads-up muscle car drag racing.
As if that isn’t enough—the NMCA World Street Finals will have four celebrities on Saturday from the reality TV show, Street Outlaws. Meet BoostedGT and his turbocharged 2003 Mustang Cobra, straight from the streets and on to the property of Lucas Oil Raceway of Indianapolis. He will be lining up against the “Elco” of Kamikaze Chris, which is a nitrous-inhaling 1981 El Camino.  Additionally, Derek Travis and his Silver Unit will be in Indy, ready to blast off in a match race against Kayla Morton and her ProCharger-powered 2005 Mustang GT. From the TV screen to real life—Street Outlaw stars will be available to take photos, sign autographs and make passes down the dragstrip.

The NMCA World Finals also includes an awesome car show on both Saturday and Sunday, which features over 100 awards, from stock to modified. There’s also a giant Manufacturers’ Midway with aftermarket companies and their representatives ready to answer any question about their products.
